Review & Tips > Year-round Skin Care Must Haves for All Skin Types - Part 1: Toner -

My reviews on the products are very personal, and I, myself, am not affiliated with the company producing the products. I always do my best to keep my review very neutral, yet, friendly and more focused on results after using the products rather than ingredients or benefits advertised by the company. Although this enabled me to tell whether the product's description turns out to be fool- proof or not, for various personal skin needs/issues, I cannot guarantee that the products which worked on my skin will definitely work on yours.

Hi all, I thought I might write about something more practical today; skincare products that all of you can rely on for every season! :) I haven't really suggested cheaper alternatives on my previous posts, but this time I'll include some for the budget-minded.

I'm splitting this post into many so it's not too long, this one contains tips on toners. I plan on covering serums and moisturisers as well as part of this series. So let's get started :)

Review > High-end Hydrating Moisturiser Comparison (Guerlain vs La Mer vs La Prairie vs Sisley)

Gustav Klimt < Adele Bloch-Bauer I >

I've noticed an increasing number of people talking about "anti-aging" skin care for the last few years, regardless of the age. It seems to me that it's just nothing but a popular trend among consumers and companies. But in fact, if we think about what real "anti-aging" skin care is, it's just a balance between inner and outer beauty. Meaning, you can't simply just pile on expensive products without a healthy life style and expect that you can delay aging of your skin.

Hi everyone!
It has been raining outside, and I thought it might be a good time to do some blog posting! :) Hope you are doing well, and here I am with another post, this time on intensive night treatment product Supremÿa la nuit by Sisley :). Enjoy!

I must say, this is very expensive! -_- Regardless here I'm on my 4th bottle. ie. it has been 4 years since I started using this product. I'm not going to lie, saying "Oh, this brings A MIRACLE to my skin" :P. The results are quite similar to their green detox night complex, which I've talked about before. So you can go and have a read about it if you are interested! :).

It has already been almost 4 years since I started using Omorovicza products O_O.
Time flies, hey! >_<
Trust me, I've been meaning to make this post sooner, but I just didn't realise how many Omorovicza products I've been using/keeping in my bathroom cabinet :O.
Although I don't use Omorovicza products daily like La Prairie ones, I've been enjoying their products at least weekly!
Last weekend, I dashed to organise my beauty cabinet a bit since my family's visiting me at the end of this month XD
I know it is very exciting and I'm very much looking forward to it. But at the same time, I don't want them to get freaked out from my messy giant collection of beauty products haha :P.

Anyways, I will start off by reviewing Omorovicza Mist/Toner & Treatments, then move onto other Serums/Concentrates, cleansers & peel, moisturisers and body care products over a few posts.
I hope you find this post helpful as usual! :)

It has been raining frequently in Seattle these days! Autumn's here!
Naaaaaaaaaaaw :'( *wiping tears*
Anyhow, I thought I might make another post on intensive skincare treatment whilst listening to Kiss the Rain by Yiruma on infinite looper! >_<

Last time, I reviewed Cellular Power Infusion by La Prairie, which is a part of the intensive collection that I will talk about here. So if you want to have a look at the detailed post on Cellular Power Infusion, click Here.

Over the weekend, I was organising my bathroom cabinet which I do monthly, and I have found that there's something common going on in all my most loved/used face masks. That is: ROSE! Apparently I have been loving masks with rose as an ingredient without even realising it! >_<  Rose smells not only beautiful, but it is also an excellent resource for hydrating skin. Anyway, I thought this might be a good review/guide for rose face masks for those who are in love with rose like I am! :) I am sorry if you find these products below quite expensive, but these are what I use as they work brilliantly on my skin, and this is my recommendation. And in general, the rose ingredient is very expensive, so you cannot imagine the producer will set price lower than this price point sadly. LOL. I wish they would lower the price, but I can understand why they don't at the same time :P.
I hope you find this post helpful like my other posts! Thank you for reading :)

Well, I know that I tend to be a little hesitant
when I suggest complexion makeup products.
It is just part of my personality when I write a post on some particular product.
I want it to be more universally suitable, closer to "WOW".
Honestly, at least to me, there has not been any "WOW" makeup products for complexion from from my ten categories that I always check;

For more details on why I packed these products with me,

please check my previous post Spring / Summer Vacance Travel Kit! - Part 1: Skin Care-.
I have explained thoroughly how I normally pack my skincare products when I am away! :)
And I am quite sure that you will find answers to most of the questions that you might have, and if you still have further questions, then please do not hesitate to ask me :).

Autumn/Winter in Australia is not too bad compared to other places.
However, we still cannot ignore the fact that it is AUTUMN/WINTER!
i.e. our skin cannot let its guard down from dehydration and UV rays.
You might not have to worry about bacteria and other infections too much in A/W unlike in S/S.
However, you really need to focus on thorough gentle cleansing, mild exfoliation and deep cleansing (NOT harsh) to make a perfect base for your heavier/richer products that you normally tend to put on to prevent dehydration..
And if you are an outdoor person, make sure you put on as much sunscreen as you put on in Summer.
Many people think that it is okay just to rely on SPF from their make up products.
In fact, the amount of UV rays that you get in Winter is very similar to Summer.
So if you have a sensitive/dry skin, then do not skip your daily sunscreen!

Well, that is an enough intro for now, and let's have a look at my kit! :)

*****Sorry! I just realised that I have not posted this one in English version :S. So, I am posting this now, and hopefully this will help for your future decision on these skincare brands! :)

I feel that it is very easy to be deluded by all the ads and reviews on luxury skincare brands from magazines, YouTube, blogs..etc.
It is not like we can buy literally ALL OF THEM ..:(
Simultaneously, we get readily scared/paranoid of breakouts or the product's inefficiencies.
Very natural indeed since we paid FORTUNE for these products and therefore have very high expectations on the products that we buy.

Perhaps this explains why some of you asked me a few questions on those luxury skincare brands since my last post on La Prairie Skincare  Purchase Guide.

And I thought...

HMMMM
Why not compare some of the luxury skincare brands that I have been using?!

By the way, I am very well aware of the fact that there are more luxury brands on the market, but I am only dealing with the ones that are more widely known throughout the world.
I hope this post will help you with choosing the right brand/product for your skin.
Enjoy it!  :)

If you have been reading my blog posts,
you might know I have been using La Prairie products.
I have been using their range religiously for 4 years now, and my mother has for over 5 years.
In fact, I wrote a few posts on La Prairie toners last year.
If you want me to write reviews on a particular La Prairie product (or any questions), then please leave me a comment :) .

I have combination /oily on T-zone skin, and very reactive to any changes (life style, food, products..etc.).

Oh, just to let you know if you were wondering,
here are La Prairie skin care products that I HAVE NOT tried yet;

With using a cotton pad, this clear lotion is very great for removing all the remaining dirt and impurities after your face wash. I personally think that this toning lotion may work well even for those with sensitive/dry/dehydrated skin.  If you have oily/combination skin, not so surprisingly,
